 Dr. Janetta Twerell received her doctorate in Social/Personality Psychology and is a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Therapist. She joined the counseling center soon after its opening and has been providing counseling for over 25 years. After Dr. James Terry Twerell passed away in 2019, Janetta was voted by the Board to assume the position of President of NYCCC and carry on the mission of Dr. J.T. Twerell.  

Dr. Janetta Twerell provides counseling to individuals, adolescents and families. She has a specialty in addiction counseling and has been trained in Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure Therapy and Rational Emotive Behavioral Pastoral Therapy.  

Christina Donawa is the Director of Human Resources for NDRI-USA, responsible for all human resource policies, programs, and services for the organization. Christina has over 28 years of experience in human resource management. She holds a degree in Economics and Business Management and human resources senior professional designations.  She is a current member of the national and local chapters of the Society of Human Resources.   

Dr. Audrey Watson received her doctorate in clinical counseling and is a certified addiction counselor. Over the past two decades she has worked in several different treatment settings supporting individuals in attaining and sustaining recovery.  Over the past five years, Dr. Watson has devoted her time to providing virtual counseling to individuals throughout the United States as well as supporting her husband who is a Pastor of a church in North Carolina. 

 Alexander Astone is a seasoned educational leader with a strong background in strategic planning, operational management, and student-centered leadership. As Assistant Principal at West Pasco Education Academy, Alex has led transformative initiatives that significantly improved academic outcomes and fostered a culture of collaboration and high expectations. With over eight years of experience in both traditional and alternative school settings, he brings a deep commitment to equity, innovation, and community engagement. Alex is passionate about finding solutions for youth and their families and finding ways to invest in their future.
